The Bergheim Volunteer Fire Department extends its most sincere condolences to Mrs. Bonnie Miertschin and the Miertschin family on the passing of Gene Miertschin. Mr. Miertschin served 12 years as Kendall County Commissioner for Precinct 2 and was instrumental in obtaining a deed from Kendall County for the land to build the Bergheim Fire Station. Your dedication to our community will be missed.
